TAMA's unique hybrid snare wire consists of two different characters of straight snare wires.
6 strands of Nickel Wound Round Guitar Strings in the middle ensure high sensitivity and a clear sound.
3 strands of black, nylon-coated stainless steel wire on the outside ensure a rich body and control the hold on the boiler.
Linear drive filter with fine adjustment
By turning the knob under the strainer, you can change the tension of 6 Nickel Would Round guitar strings while maintaining the tension of the black nylon coated stainless steel wire. This helps to adjust the sensitivity of the snare wire without throttling the resonance of the snare drum. The linear drive strainer ensures that the snare wires move in and out quietly.
