In addition, the playing surface ensures an even rebound.  The base plate fits into a snare stand or can be mounted on any 8 mm thread, e.g. on a cymbal stand or a boom arm. The 12 "diameter allows drummers to practice perfectly as they can simulate the playing surface of a full-size drum.
